Who We Are

Danville Congregational Church (DCC) is a vibrant, welcoming Christian community rooted in the progressive traditions of the United Church of Christ. For nearly 75 years, we have brought together people of all ages and backgrounds from across the San Ramon Valley—including Danville, San Ramon, Walnut Creek, Concord, Castro Valley, Pleasanton, and Livermore, to name a few—to worship, grow, and serve together.

Danville Congregational Church acknowledges that the land our house of worship sits on is the traditional, unceded land of the Ohlone and Bay Miwok people. We offer this land acknowledgment as a sign of respect, with the knowledge that this land was sacred before we ever arrived.

We are a joyful and active congregation offering meaningful worship, inspiring music, children’s and youth programs, adult study groups, and opportunities for fellowship, outreach, and service. Whether you are joining us in person or online, you’ll find a community grounded in faith, committed to love, and eager to make a difference in the world.

What We Stand For

At DCC, we believe that every person is a beloved child of God, created in love and worthy of full inclusion, affirmation, and belonging. We are an Open and Affirming congregation, committed since 1999 to welcoming people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, abilities, and backgrounds. Since 2020, we have also been actively working to become an Anti-Racist church, seeking justice and equity within and beyond our walls.

Our mission is to “love God, love each other, and be God’s love to the world.” Guided by the values of the United Church of Christ—freedom of thought, respect for diversity, and a deep call to service—we seek to live out our faith through compassionate action, community engagement, and a prophetic voice for justice. We believe faith is not only personal but also deeply connected to how we live, care, and advocate for one another.
